Welcome to Purely ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users, especially minors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Purely app.

Not medical advice. Purely is a wellness tracking tool, not a medical device or service. Nothing in this app constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

1. Who We Are

Purely is a teen wellness and skincare tracking application, operated by Krish Gandhi, an individual. For privacy inquiries, contact us at: privacy@purely.app

2. Information We Collect

• Account information: Email address and date of birth, collected at signup via Clerk.
• Skin photos: Photos you upload for analysis, stored securely in Supabase cloud storage.
• Skin analysis data: AI-generated assessments including acne type, severity scores, and coverage percentages.
• Trigger logs: Diet, sleep, and stress data you choose to log.
• Routine data: Skincare routines you create or save.
• Product scan data: Barcodes and ingredient photos submitted to the product scanner.
• Social data: Followers, following, challenges, and community activity if you use social features.
• Usage data: App interactions and feature usage (only if you enable analytics).
• Consent records: Records of the permissions you grant, including timestamps and IP address.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the Purely service.
• To analyze your skin photos and generate progress reports.
• To analyze product ingredients and barcodes at your request.
• To send you in-app messages and updates about your skincare routine.
• To comply with legal obligations.

4. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Purely is designed for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We rely on self-reported age at signup. If you believe a user under 13 has registered, contact privacy@purely.app and we will delete their account and data immediately.

5. Third-Party Services & Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. The following third-party services receive data in the course of providing the app. Each service has its own privacy policy and terms.

Legal authorities may also receive data when required by law or to protect safety.

6. Social Features

Purely includes optional social features. By default, your profile is private. If you make your profile public or participate in community challenges:

• Your username, profile photo, and challenge activity may be visible to other users.
• Your follower and following counts are visible on your public profile.
• Leaderboard positions and challenge completions may be publicly listed.
• Other users can block you or submit moderation reports about you.

Skin photos, health metrics, and trigger logs are never shared with other users, regardless of your profile visibility setting.

7. Internal Access

Purely's operator (Krish Gandhi) may access user account data, community content, and usage logs for the purposes of moderation, customer support, debugging, and legal compliance. This access is limited to what is necessary to operate the service. We do not share accessed data with third parties except as described in §5.

8. Affiliate Links

Purely participates in affiliate advertising programs including the Amazon Associates Program. When you purchase products through links in the app, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Sponsored product recommendations are clearly labeled.

9. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your photos, analysis results, scan history, social data, and account record are deleted immediately and permanently. This action cannot be undone. Deletion is triggered from Settings → Account → Delete Account, or by emailing support@purely.app.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right to access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
• Right to delete: Request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data ("right to be forgotten").
• Right to correct: Update or correct inaccurate personal information.
• Right to object: Object to processing of your data for specific purposes.

How to exercise these rights: Go to Settings → Privacy in the app to manage your consents. For deletion requests or other inquiries, email privacy@purely.app.

11. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

12. Cookies & Tracking

We use session cookies for authentication only. No advertising or tracking cookies are set.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
